I have been waiting all year for these. Good choices; I'll bet you have seen more movies than the voting Academy Award members (ferd).

Allnut here -- Hey, where've you been?! I love your Golden Steves (this year's may be your best stuff yet), but my annual GS fix just isn't enough! More posts, man -- you're good.

I agree with Allnut. Your silence is inexcusable. It is time, once again, to haunt Clarice with your phantasmatic cries.

Also, where is True Grit on the best picture list? You've included heretical slop -- reincarnation? seriously? -- but failed to recognize the most avowedly American film of the year. Cruelty, inebriation, open space, the impotence of law -- what's not to love.

Allnut back again, after reviewing the GS winners. I thought I'd seen all the major contenders -- thanks for reminding me that the big boys aren't always the best. Gotta get busy locating some lesser-known flicks. Hey, I hear the GS award ceremony is something not to be missed. How do I score an invite next year??
